Daniel J. Schneider

Daniel J. Schneider is a founding partner of Farber Schneider Ferrari LLP. After serving as General Counsel and Director of Operations at a swiftly growing California start-up, Mr. Schneider confirmed that his passion was in the Courtroom fighting for justice on behalf of his clients.

Mr. Schneider regularly represents real estate developers, design professionals, interior designers, contractors, construction professionals, property managers, hotel owners and operators, condominium and cooperative boards, medical professionals, and creative artists of varying background. He is a trial lawyer who has both prosecuted and defended numerous jury and non-jury trials as well as binding arbitrations all around New York City and Long Island.

Mr. Schneider began his career at the Legal Aid Society (Nassau County) as a public defender protecting the rights of persons unable to afford a defense. As a zealous advocate, he was unafraid to push matters to a jury when necessary to obtain a just result. His passion for litigation arose while successfully fighting for those without a voice, and his tenacious advocacy was quickly recognized when one of his successful outcomes was cited in the NYLJ as a Decision of Interest.

Thereafter Mr. Schneider entered Civil arena building a successful track record in complex commercial litigation, real estate matters, construction defect litigation, insurance defense, personal injury defense, development, access, and land use. He has also been on the cutting edge on limitations of the First Amendment in connection with anonymous Internet speech, by succeeding in compelling Google to unmask an anonymous blogger.

Mr. Schneider’s approach to the practice of law is a combination of diligent work ethic, quality work-product and attentive customer service. From his years working in the restaurant industry, he prioritizes client relations and customer satisfaction as paramount.

Mr. Schneider received his B.A., in Economics, (minor - Fine Arts), cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in New York; California; Illinois; and Massachusetts; the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York; the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; and the Supreme Court of the United States.
