Thomas T. Papain

Senior Associate

Thomas Papain is a Senior Associate at Farber Schneider Ferrari LLP. Thomas primarily focuses on civil litigation matters with a focus on plaintiff’s personal injury law.

Thomas has over 11 years of civil litigation experience. He has dedicated himself to representing plaintiff personal injury victims who have suffered substantial injuries and losses, including death, due to the negligence of others. In New York, Mr. Papain has handled high value cases and has won numerous settlements for clients either killed or seriously injured by negligently operated vehicles, unsafe premises, and unsafe construction sites.

In addition to his experience handling personal injury cases, Mr. Papain has also litigated complex securities fraud class actions. For these cases, Mr. Papain was charged with leading the depositions of key witnesses and handling and leading complicated privilege disputes. These cases were litigated in federal courts throughout the country.

Mr. Papain is active in the New York legal community. He has served on the Bronx County Bar Association Judiciary Committee since 2017, serving on subcommittees that screen judicial candidates who are seeking judicial positions in the Bronx. He has also been an active member of the New York City Bar Association since 2013, serving on committees and moderating panel discussions on international matters. He has also been a Board Member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association since September 2018, an organization dedicated to protecting New York’s civil justice system and the rights of injured consumers.

Mr. Papain is also active in the Greek legal community, serving as the Treasurer of the Hellenic Lawyers Association, an organization which provides professional development opportunities to attorneys and law students of Hellenic descent.

Mr. Papain graduated from Fordham University in 2009 with a B.A. in History and English Literature. He graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2012, where he wrote and had published legal papers concerning international affairs.
